Devin Rispress returned to Tallahassee to join Florida State’s recruiting staff as director of recruiting in December of 2024.
Rispress spent the 2024 season as the assistant director of player personnel and high school relations at Colorado. There, he helped build the Buffaloes’ roster that won nine games, the program’s most since 2016, and advanced to a bowl game for the first time since the abbreviated 2020 season.
Rispress began his collegiate career as FAMU’s director of football recruiting in 2022. He helped the Rattlers win 21 games over his two seasons, and he was named the 2023 FCS Recruiter of the Year. FAMU finished the 2023 season with a 12-1 record, the school’s first SWAC championship and a victory in the Celebration Bowl.
Prior to his time at FAMU, Rispress spent nine seasons coaching high school football in the Tallahassee area. He coached running backs and served as co-offensive coordinator for Godby High School in 2010 and served in the same role for Rickards for the 2013 season and again from 2016-18. Rispress worked two stints at East Gadsden High School, serving as assistant head coach in 2014 and associate head coach for the 2019-21 seasons after it was renamed Gadsden County High School.
Rispess earned his bachelor’s degree in professional studies from Arkansas Tech in 2013. While in college, he was a student assistant involved in all aspects of the football program.
