Sept. 22, 1997 Niks and Ingham Join Braswell in Qualifying TournamentBALTIMORE, Md. - Florida State men's tennis players Yvo Niks and Michael Ingham advanced far enough into the ITA National Claycourt pre-qualifying tournament at the Suburban Club to join fellow Seminole Ty Braswell in the next leg of the event, the qualifying tournament. The final eight players in the 64-player draw will advance to the main draw where an eventual champion is determined. Braswell and Niks will also compete as a doubles tandem in a 32-pair tournament. Niks, a junior from Holland, advanced to the fifth round of the earlier tournament and Ingham, a sophomore from England, made it the fourth round. Niks will face eighth-seeded and 90th ranked Aaron Marchetti of Virginia Tech and Ingham will meet up with Luis Uribe of Kansas. No. 81 Braswell, a junior from Umatilla, will face Andreas Tiltscher of Southern Mississippi in the opening round. The tandem of Braswell and Niks, the 1997 flight 2 ACC Champions, will meet South Alabama's Chisholm and Piibor.
