Florida State Basketball to Open Practice on Saturday
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The Florida State men's basketball team will hold its first practice of the season on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Moore Athletic Center Gym.
"I am really excited about getting started," said first year Florida State head coach Steve Robinson. "I think our guys have shown a real willingness to work hard during preseason conditioning and I believe it will carry over onto the court."
Robinson assumed control of the FSU program on July 1 after former Seminole head coach Pat Kennedy left for DePaul in June. Robinson was the head coach at Tulsa for the previous two seasons and guided the Golden Hurricane to a 46-18 record and two NCAA Tournament berths during his tenure.
Saturday's first practice is open to the public. The Seminoles will hold the annual Garnet and Gold Game on October 29 in the Leon County Civic Center. FSU opens the regular season on November 14 at Rice.
