FSU Baseball To Play Devils Rays In First Ever Game

TALLAHASSEE, FL -- The Florida State baseball team has been picked to play the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in their first game of any kind during the upcoming 1998 schedule.

The Devil Rays will host the Seminoles on Feb. 26, 1998, at 1:00 p.m., at Al Lang Stadium in St. Petersburg, Fla. All proceeds from the game will go to Florida State.

FSU was chosen from a group of three schools that included Miami and South Florida. Tampa Bay will open the its 1999 schedule with Miami and its 2000 schedule with South Florida.
