9/26/03 FSU Women Place Fourth, Men Cross Line 11th at Great American Cros Country Festival
With only three more races before the Atlantic Coast Conference meet in November, the Florida State University women's and men's cross country squads got their best look at league competition while racing some of the best teams in the country on Friday (September 26) at Great American Cross Country Festival. On the women's side the Seminoles came in fourth, while the men placed 11th.
9/27/02 FSU's Vicky Gill Places Fifth At Great American Cross Country Festival
The Florida State men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Great American Cross Country Festival Friday night, placing 12th and 13th, respectively. The annual prestigious meet was held at the Ballantyne Cross Country course located at the Ballantyne Resort, just outside Charlotte, N.C. Senior Vicky Gill led the women with a fifth place finish, running the 5k-course in an impressive 18:17. Gill was one of 174 competitors in the women's collegiate field and one of three Atlantic Coast Conference runners to place in the top five.
10/5/01 Seminole Women's Cross Country Team Ranked No. 1 In NCAA South Region
The Florida State University women's cross country team in ranked No. 1 in the South Region in the weekly poll released by the Women's Cross Country Coaches Association. It marks the first time in the history of the program that the Seminoles have earned the No. 1 ranking in the South Region.
