TALLAHASSEE, Fla.  – The Florida State indoor volleyball team will host two more spring matches this month at Tully Gym.

“These matches give us a chance to see how we have progressed over the spring off-season,” head coach Chris Poole said.  “We are working hard to improve on our defense and speed up our offense.  The spring matches are critical to see how we will match up against outside competition.  The girls are working very hard.  I feel like we have made a lot of improvement over the last 6 weeks.”

Florida State will host Florida on March 21 at 4 p.m. before playing the Florida Wave Professional Team on March 23. The time for that match has yet to be determined.

Earlier this spring, the Seminoles showed vast improvement when they played LSU and South Carolina on Feb. 8. Over the 11 sets played during the day, the Seminoles only dropped two – one to each the Tigers and Gamecocks.

The Seminoles also hosted Jacksonville in the Bobby E. Leach Center on Saturday.
