Tallahassee, Fla. - Florida State volleyball hosted its first home match in two weeks in Tully Gym, falling to No. 14 Duke 0-3 (24-30, 18-30, 26-30). The Seminoles drop to 4-8 and 1-3 in the ACC, while the Blue Devils advance to 9-3 and 4-0.

Leading the Seminoles once again was junior Mira Djuric (Belgrade, Serbia) who ended the night with 11 kills and 18 points. Djuric also topped both teams in service aces with six, needing only four more to break the single match record of nine set in 1993. Topping FSU in hitting percentage was sophomore Brianna Barry (Winter Springs, Fla.) with .429, her best since the first match of the season against UNC Asheville when she hit .647. Barry also provided seven kills, eight points and two blocks.

Although Duke dominated games one and two in attacking percentage, Florida State took control of game three with a .306 percentage to Duke's .235. But the Seminoles' sore spot was once again too many errors against a steady Blue Devils team.

Florida State suffered 15 service errors and 22 attack errors, one of which by senior Makini Thompson (Quincy, Mass.) gave Duke the win in game two.

Senior Summer Weissing (Boca Raton, Fla.) nabbed one service ace and added 10 digs to bring her season total to 156 and move her closer to the school record of 1,771. Sophomore Nikki Baker (Findlay, Ohio) had good night with 31 assists and eight digs, working her way to the first double-double for the Seminoles this season.

Florida State's weekend is not over yet as it hosts Wake Forest on Sunday, Sept. 30, at 1:00 p.m. The Demon Deacons enter the match 6-7 and 3-1 after defeating Miami 3-0 on Friday. The match can be seen live on ACC Select and will be available on GameTracker by logging onto www.seminoles.com.
