Tallahassee, Fla. - The Florida State volleyball team fought hard but couldn't pull out a win as they fall to 5-3 on the season after Long Beach State defeated the Seminoles 3-0 (22-30, 28-30, 23-30) on the final day of the Long Beach State Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 8.

Junior Mira Djruic (Belgrade, Serbia) led the team in kills with 15, followed closely by sophomore Brianna Barry (Winter Park, Fla.) with 13 and senior Makini Thompson (Quincy, Mass.) with nine.

The Seminoles made a move in game two, scoring 28 points and leading the game in team kills with 19, but an attack error by Djruic gave the 49ers the game point.
