Friday and Saturday are special days for the many FSU students that will take part in Fall 2012 commencement ceremonies at the Donald L. Tucker Center. Included in this semester's graduation celebration are 26 current and former student-athletes.
Stamped her legacy on the Florida State program with a monstrous senior year ... was one of the most dominant offensive forces in the country in 2012 ... finished up her career in grand fashion with several first-time awards ... her four career ACC Player/Co-Player of the Week awards is the most in program history ... helped Florida State win three ACC titles in her four seasons played ... combined with a senior class featuring Duygu Duzceler, Marija Milosavljevic and Fatma Yildirim to record 109 victories - the most by an ACC senior class at FSU and the seventh-most at Florida State ... her .356 career hitting percentage ranks second in school history ... her 393 total blocks are 10th on the school's career list ... Freeman's 341 block assists are sixth in Florida State history.
SENIOR YEAR (2012): -AVCA Honorable Mention All-American, the first All-America honor of Freeman's career
-AVCA All-East Region Team member for the first time
-All-ACC Team member for the first time
-Florida State Invitational All-Tournament Team honoree after Florida State defeated Georgia, FIU and Florida A&M
-Ultra Competitive award winner at team banquet for showing the will to win even in the face of adversity
-Named ACC Player/Co-Player of the Week three times in 2012, the most in a single season by any Seminole in program history
-Finished second in the nation with a .438 hitting percentage, a mark that is the second-highest percentage in school history
-Earned her third and final ACC Co-Player of the Week award when she totaled 11 kills and a .381 hitting percentage in the de facto ACC Championship match versus Miami. Freeman's final kill in the fourth set clinched Florida State's fourth ACC title
-Dominant offensively in conference play, where she hit .470 in 20 matches and was over 100 points better than the next player not named Ashley Neff
-Totaled 11 double-digit kill matches and hit above .400 in 18 of her 32 matches
-Honored as one of three NCAA.com Players of the Week on Oct. 31 following victories over Virginia and Virginia Tech
-Tied her career high with 14 kills in Florida State's 31 win over Duke on Sept. 30
-Established a career high four solo blocks at Miami on Sept. 7
-Season-high eight blocks on two occasions - once against Iowa State on Aug. 25 and another time at Virginia Tech on Sept. 21
JUNIOR YEAR (2011): -Finished 37th nationally in blocks per set, averaging 1.25 while totaling 156 total blocks
-Stepped up mightily at the Minneapolis Regional, being named to the all-tournament team. She combined for 19 blocks versus fifth-seeded Purdue and fourth-seeded Iowa State
-Recorded her second career double-double in FSU's Elite Eight win over Iowa State, finishing with 12 kills and 10 blocks. Freeman came up big in the fifth and final set against the Cyclones, recording three blocks.

-Named ACC Player of the Week on Oct. 17, 2011, after posting a .300 hitting percentage and 14 blocks in wins over Georgia Tech and Clemson

-Tallied 225 kills in her junior campaign, fourth-highest on the team
-Recorded 30 blocks in a four-match stretch against North Carolina, North Carolina State, Georgia Tech and Clemson.
-Participant of the U.S. Women's A2 Program in the summer of 2012
SOPHOMORE YEAR (2010): -Teamed with former player Lauren Young to help FSU average 2.42 blocks per set - second in the ACC
-Played in 32 matches, including nine started, and registered 145 kills, 105 blocks and nearly one block per set (0.98)
-Had four matches in which she recorded a .500 hitting percentage or better on a minimum of five kills
-Season-high 11 kills and just two attack errors against Miami on Nov. 26
-Season-high 17 points at North Carolina on Sept. 30 - 10 kills and a career-best 12 blocks
-Recorded seven blocks and 10 kills on .389 hitting in a big five-set victory over nationally-ranked Kentucky on Sept. 10
-One of four Seminoles to compete at the U.S. Women's National Volleyball Team open tryouts in Feb. 2011
FRESHMAN YEAR (2009): -Saw time in 26 sets over the course of the season -Set season highs in kills (10), total attacks (16), hitting percentage (.625) and digs (1) against Wake Forest -Set a season high with five blocks against Central Michigan -Finished the season with 28 kills and 18 block assists
HIGH SCHOOL: -Two-time Northern Yosemite All-League Team member as a junior and senior -Led Sunnyside High School team in hitting and blocking during senior year -Played on varsity for two seasons in high school
CLUB TEAM: -Played for the Asics Sports City for three years under the direction of coach Sonny Perez
