Amy Bambenek is in her third season as Cecile Reynaud's second assistant on the Florida State volleyball coaching staff. A 1998 graduate and four-year starter at Coastal Carolina University, Bambenek has brought a unique perspective to the FSU team having recently completed her playing career.

An outside hitter at Coastal Carolina, Bambenek became one of the best volleyball players in the school's history. Bambenek helped lead the team to the Big South Conference title and an NCAA Tournament appearance in 1996 on her way to becoming the school's all-time leader in kills, kill attempts and digs. The Chillicothe, Ohio, native was a member of Coastal Carolina's student athletic council and remained active during summers as a volleyball camp assistant at her alma mater, Chillicothe High School. She worked as a recreational supervisor at the Smith Jones Community Center in Conway, S.C., before accepting her position at Florida State.

Bambenek, 24, graduated from Coastal Carolina with a degree in Business Management and earned a Master's degree in Athletic Administration at Florida State this past spring. In addition to her duties with the FSU volleyball program, Bambenek serves as the camp administrator for the Cecile Reynaud Summer Volleyball Camps.
