FSU Volleyball Takes ACC Player & Rookie of the Week HonorsTALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Florida State outside hitter LaToya Presberry captured Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week honors and fellow Lady Seminole Kate Hemlepp garnered the ACC Rookie of the Week award following stellar performances in FSU's three victories over the weekend. Presberry, a 5'8" junior from Detroit, Michigan, averaged 4.2 kills and 4.1 digs per game during the All Sport/Michigan Volleyball Challenge in Ann Arbor. She added 6 service aces and 8 blocks to earn the MVP award of the tournament. In her first action as a Lady Seminole, Hemlepp tallied a .412 hitting percentage on 25 kills to earn all-tournament team honors in the Michigan Challenge. The 5'11" freshman from Boca Raton, Florida, finished with a .533 hitting percentage and 9 kills in Florida State's three-game sweep of Montana. The Lady Seminoles return to action when Georgia Southern visits Tallahassee and Tully Gymnasium this Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. |
