TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -The No.21-ranked Florida State women's tennis team is set to make its seventh-consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance on Friday at 10 a.m. CT against No.33 Memphis.

The second-seeded Seminoles and third-seeded Tigers will play in the first of two matches slated for the Tuscaloosa regional tomorrow. The second dual will feature the host team (No.9) Alabama against Northwestern State. The first and second rounds will be played at the University of Alabama Tennis Stadium.

"I feel like we're ready," head coach Jennifer Hyde said. "We're riding the momentum from ACC's. It was a great indicator of what we're capable of doing and we're doing it at the right time. We're excited to be here and we're expecting it to be an absolute dogfight tomorrow against Memphis."

The (16-9) Seminoles head into the first round match after making their third appearance in the ACC finals in school history. FSU defeated Wake Forest, (No. 11) Clemson and (No.13) Virginia en route to the championship before falling to (No.10) Miami. Memphis (17-6) was knocked out of the C-USA Tournament by (No.24) Tulsa. Florida State is 2-0 all-time against the Tigers, however this will be the first meeting between the two teams since 1987.

The Seminoles will field three ranked singles players against the Tigers. Daneika Borthwick (No.62) and Francesca Segarelli (No.83) have been included in every ITA poll this season, while Amy Sargeant crept back into the rankings this week (No.120). Memphis will counter with one ranked player in Courtney Collins (No.55), however the Tigers possess two ranked doubles pairs. At No.64 is the team of Stefanie Mikesz and Caroline Wegner while Collins teams up with Kelly Gray to be the No. 77 duo.
