TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State women's tennis team will open dual-match play this weekend as they host Florida A&M and Stetson University. The Florida A&M Rattlers will visit the Scott Speicher Tennis Center Saturday, January 18th, at noon to take on Florida State. The Seminoles will host the Hatters of Stetson at noon on Sunday.

Cross-town rival Florida A&M will travel to the campus of Florida State University to take on the women's tennis team for just the fifth time in school history. In the four previous meetings, the Seminoles have come out victorious. Last season, the Seminoles defeated the Rattlers by a score of 6-1.

Sunday's match against Stetson University will mark only the fourth time that the Seminoles have matched up against the Hatters. Florida State holds a perfect record against Stetson. The last meeting between the two schools came in 1988 when the Tribe defeated the Hatters by a score of 8-1.

Florida State will take next week off before hosting Georgia Southern and UCF on the weekend of January 25-26. The match against the Eagles of Georgia Southern will be held January 25th at noon, while the Seminoles will take on the Golden Knights of UCF January 26th at 11 am.
