Women's Tennis Wins Opener over Georgia SouthernFSU's Ali Webber Upsets No. 35 Annita BugginsFeb. 7, 1998 TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Sophomore women's tennis player Ali Webber of Florida State upset #35 nationally ranked Anita Buggins of Georgia Southern 6-4, 6-1 to lead Florida State to a 7-2 victory Saturday at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center in Tallahassee. The women clinched the match after winning five of the six singles matches against the Eagles. The lone defeat in singles came at No. 3 where Sasha Hanna fell in three sets to Isabella Kling 3-6, 7-6, 6-1. In doubles play the Seminoles scored two points as the teams of Nanette Duxin, Natalie Carratala and Webber and Helena Karlsson were both victorious. The next match for the Lady Seminoles is February 11th against in-state rival the University of Florida at 4:00 p.m. in Gainesville.
