A look back on the highlights of the recent season for Florida State women's tennis.


Seminoles Fall to Top-Seeded Georgia

The No. 37 Seminoles are eliminated from the NCAA Championships by No. 1 Georgia by a score of 4-0 on May 10.


Borthwick's Thriller Lifts FSU Into NCAA Second Round

The No. 37 Seminoles defeated No. 27 Arizona 4-3 in the first round of the NCAA Championships.


Florida State to Play Arizona in NCAA Championships

The No. 42 Seminoles will participate in their eighth straight NCAA Championships.


Seminoles Fall to UNC at ACC Championships

No. 42 Florida State is eliminated from the 2014 ACC Championships by No. 11 North Carolina.

Senior 2013-14:
Spring: Posted a 10-9 record in singles, with a 2-1 mark on court four and a 8-8 record on court five...also went 6-9 in doubles, including a 2-1 mark with partner Duda Santos...earned a third-set tiebreaker win against Kimberly Anicete of No. 22 Rice in the ITA Kickoff Weekend which began a four-match winning streak over players from Mercer, Wake Forest and Maryland...was nearly perfect in her singles match against Shayne Austin of No. 27 Arizona, winning 6-0, 6-1, and was instrumental in FSU's come-from-behind upset win over the Wildcats in the first round of the NCAA Championships.

Fall: Finished with a 2-5 singles and a 1-5 doubles record in the fall for the Seminoles...played well at the Bedford Cup with a singles victory over Candela Munoz of FGCU 6-1, 6-3 and a doubles shutout with Porry over UNF's Hollander and Calderon, 8-0.

Junior 2012-13:
Spring: Went 19-8 in singles in her first season as a Seminole...worked mostly out of court six where she posted a record of 8-5...was 17-9 in doubles overall this year... paired well with Kerrie Cartwright in doubles and posted a record of 4-2 for the year...was the clinching match for the doubles point against No.11 Clemson in the ACC Quarterfinals where the Seminoles went on to defeat the Tigers 4-3...during that same match she came back to defeat Tristen Dewar 1-6, 7-5, 6-2 in three-sets proving to be one of the turning points in the historic win...came back in a three-set thriller against Andrea Retolaza of Wake Forest as she was down 0-5 in the first set and came back to take the match 7-6, 6-4 from court five.

Fall: In her first matches as a Seminole, Schleich posted a 3-2 record in singles while going 4-2 in doubles on the fall.

Two-year letter-winner at Colorado ...two-year win total was 32 singles and 16 doubles victories... as a sophomore won a team-best 16 singles matches during the year, eight of them during the spring ...won seven singles matches at No. 1 position playing against the opponent's top players, the other win at No. 2... played against nine nationally ranked opponents in the spring and upset No. 48 Liudmila Vasilieva of Washington State in three sets after dropping the opening set ...named the team's Co-Most Valuable Player after her freshman year... CU's first freshman player at No. 1 singles since 2003-04 ...led the Buffaloes with eight dual match singles victories.

High School and Junior:
Member of the 2009 German Team Championship team...member of two state championship teams (2001, 2002) and a pair of runner up finishes (2003, 2005)... won the ITF junior doubles title in Spain in 2007.

Born August 24, 1990...daughter of Peter and Ingrid Schleich...older sister, Kathrin is a tennis coach...majoring in business management...named to the 2011-12 Pac-12 honorable mention academic team.
