Florida State's Keryn Krynauw Named ACC Swimmer Of The Week

Jan. 8, 2001

Tallahassee, FL - Florida State's Keryn Krynauw earned ACC Swimmer of the Week honors on Monday after leading FSU to a 107-98 victory over Truman State on Saturday.

Krynauw, a junior from Pieterarizburg, South Aftrica, took first place in the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:17.63, her best finish in the 200 breaststroke this season. The win was crucial as the Seminoles were trailing Truman State with just two events remaining before Krynauw's win. Krynauw also swam a leg on Florida State's 200-yard medley relay team, which took first place in a time of 1:46.24.

The Lady Seminoles improved to 7-2 with the win over Truman State and will host nationally-ranked Texas on Friday, January 12th at 3 p.m. at the Leach Aquatics Center on the FSU campus.
