HIGH SCHOOL: Earned All-America status for her efforts on the 400
free relay, a squad that also captured the state title as part of South
Mecklenburg's team championship her junior year...Garnered All-
America consideration in the 100 backstroke, 100 butterfly and
200 individual medley... A member of the Charlotte Observer All-
Area team, she capped off her senior year by being named
Southwestern Conference Swimmer of the Year and Outstanding
Athlete...Captured the league championships in the 100 fly and
100 back, setting in the school's butterfly record in the
process...Also won the regional title in the 100 backstroke her
junior year after capturing the conference title plus regional and
team MVP honors ...Picked up her first league title in the 100
backstroke as a sophomore to go along with a second 200 IM
title...Stood on top of the winner's stand for the first time as a
freshman after capturing the 200 IM crown...The Southwestern
4A champion in the 200 IM, she made her first appearance at the
US Senior Nationals in 2003, taking part in both the spring and
summer competitions...Also excels in the classroom with
Academic All-American, North Carolina scholar, CMS scholar and
National Honor Society accolades. Top times including 57.62 in
the 100 with a 57.48 in the 100 fly...Coached by Ellen Mullis at
South Mecklenburg and Dave Gibbson coached her at
Mecklenburg Aquatic Club.
