TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) - Looking to continue their 12-game ACC winning streak, the No. 7/8 Florida State Seminoles (38-5, 15-2 ACC) are on the road this week as they travel to play No. 23/25 Notre Dame (24-8, 5-3 ACC) for three games on April 13-14 and then continue on to face Pitt (13-19, 4-9 ACC) in a doubleheader on April 16.

"This road trip will a good test for this team," said head coach Lonni Alameda. "We don't have much history with either Notre Dame or Pitt, and look forward to playing them as new ACC members. This can be a point in the season where the amount of games and travel and school work can wear on the team, but I see the focus in this family to accomplish our goals and am excited to see them step up to yet another challenge."

The `Noles haven't faced Notre Dame since 2006 and lead the all-time series with the Irish, 3-2. This will be the first time they have played Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. As for Pitt, Florida State has won both games it has played against the Panthers, a 7-0 win in 2002 and a 7-1 victory in 2003. Both games were played in Tallahassee.

Kelly Hensley has been amazing at the plate recently as the senior is batting .600 (6-for-10) in her last five games. She has a double, three walks, three runs scored and has driven in six RBI during that span without striking out once.

Also on a hot streak is Maddie O'Brien. Recently named as one of the 25 finalists for the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year, the redshirt junior shortstop is hitting .571 with three home runs, six runs scored and six RBI in her last five games. As of April 8, O'Brien led the country in home runs, RBI and slugging percentage.

Lacey Waldrop joined O'Brien as a finalist for the Player of the Year in recognition for the great year she is having. She leads the nation in wins (25) and has the second-lowest ERA in the country (0.83). She has allowed a batting average of just .159 and has surrendered more than three hits only three times in her last 19 appearances. She has 203 strikeouts to go along with her 17 complete games, six shutouts and three no-hitters this season.

Florida State will be in South Bend for a doubleheader against the Irish on Sun., April 13 that begins at 12:00 p.m., and close out the series on Mon., April 14 at 7:00 p.m. Sunday's games will be available on WatchND.tv and Monday's game will be broadcast on ESPNU.
