TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- No. 16 Florida State softball team returns home this weekend after four games on the road to take on NC State at the Seminole Softball Complex.

Starting with a televised game at 1 p.m., the Seminoles (34-7, 6-3 Atlantic Coast Conference) and Wolfpack (23-15, 6-3) will play a doubleheader on Saturday before facing off one more time on Sunday at noon in a game that will be aired online as part of Seminoles.com All-Access.

Fans are encouraged to come out and support the FSU softball team in what is going to be an exciting weekend of Seminoles athletics. Not only will Saturday's doubleheader take place before the football team's spring game, but it is also Military Appreciation Day at JoAnne Graf Field.

On Sunday, children in eighth grade or younger are encouraged to sign up online at Seminoles.com and bring a canned food item to the field to participate in an on-field softball clinic after the game.

FSU enters this weekend's series on the heels of a 6-1 victory at UCF on Wednesday night.

Senior Carly Wynn leads the 'Noles offense with a .398 batting average. FSU's team captain also ranks first in the ACC in doubles and triples and ranks second in hits and stolen bases.

As for NC State, the Wolfpack is led offensively by Landon Warren and her .325 batting average. Like the Seminoles, who have outstanding pitchers in Sarah Hamilton and Terese Gober, NC State's Lindsey Campana is one of the league's best with an ERA of .081.
