March 21, 2013

Throughout the 2013 season, each Seminole softball student-athlete who appears in the program's Q&A section will also be featured on Seminoles.com. The sixth student-athlete is redshirt sophomore shortstop Maddie O'Brien

1. At what stage in your life did you know you wanted to be a Nole?

Ever since I was little I wanted to be a Seminole, but it became a real possibility my junior year in high school.

2. What goals have you set for yourself both this season and for your career?

I hope to stay healthy and play every game with the same passion and hope of making it to OKC. In my career I hope to become an All-American and reserve a spot on the "Leave Your Legacy" plaques around the field.

3. What are some of your earliest memories playing softball?

I remember always being around my big brother and dad watching and learning how to throw, catch and hit. Those are the best memories!

4. What do you consider the most important event in your life so far?

Playing softball at my dream school and having the opportunity to represent FSU and bleed Garnet and Gold.

5. What are three things you cannot live without?

My family/friends, doggies, and Starbucks!

6. Have you ever been mistaken for a celebrity?

No, but my cousin calls me Audrina from the show "The Hills."

7. If you did not need the money, what kind of work would you do?

I would love to plan parties and events for celebrities.

8. If you were invisible for a day, what might you do?

Dress up in runway couture and strut down the runway in Paris, Milan and New York.

9. If today was your last day on Earth, is there anything you would do differently?

No, I absolutely love my life and all of the people who are in it.
