TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Florida State softball heads to Columbus, Ga., to compete in the NFCA Leadoff Classic, March 3-5, 2000. The Lady Seminoles will take on #8 Fresno State at Noon on Friday, March 3 followed by a match-up with Harvard at 2:30pm. FSU will face Texas on Saturday, March 4 at 10:00am before starting bracket play Saturday and Sunday.

LAST TIME OUT:
The Lady Seminoles are coming off a 3-1 weekend at the FAU Tournament. Rita Brooks led the team, going 8-13 from the plate with a .615 batting average and five stolen bases. Brooks also hit a game-winning two run homerun against Florida Atlantic. Kelly Miller also hit her second homerun of the season, going 3-8 with two RBI's. Robin Gauger picked up her first win, throwing a shutout and giving up only one walk and striking out six against Furman.
