A REPEAT PERFORMANCE
Teresa Edenfield did it again! Edenfield knocked in a two-run homer over the left center wall against FAMU on Wednesday. Her first career homerun was last year against FAMU at the Seminole Softball Complex.

HER FIRST HOMER
Sophomore Kimmy Carter did it all last year: led the team in triples, was second in RBI's and had many multiple-hits games. The one thing she lacked was a homerun...until Wednesday night. Carter knocked in a three-run homer over the left field wall in the fifth inning against FAMU to give the Lady Seminoles a 9-0 win in five innings.

NEW ADDITIONS
FSU softball welcomed two new assistant coaches this season. Louie Berndt returned to FSU after six years as the head coach at Marshall. She was named the Southern Conference Coach of the Year in 1996 and led Marshall to its first ever Southern Conference tournament title. She was a two-time All-American second baseman at Western Michigan and was an assistant coach under Coach Graf in 1989. Heather Compton joined the Lady Seminoles from the Tampa Bay Firestix of the Women's Professional Softball League. She graduated from UCLA where she was a member of two national champion teams while garnering All-American and All-College World Series team honors. Compton was also a member of the 1994 gold medal Pan American games softball team.
