Following a successful senior season at Florida State, Tiffany McDonald returns to assist the team in 2009 as a student assistant.
McDonald broke the all-time career strikeout record at Florida State after shutting down 13 batters in the 5-1 win over Boston College in game one of the 2008 ACC Softball Championship. The Belfair, Wash., native finished the season with 244 strikeouts and set the new high at FSU with 939 over her career.
The two-time All-ACC Second Team member was also one of 30 candidates for the 2008 Lowe's Senior CLASS Award and earned her first ACC Pitcher of the Week honors with two nods in the same month.
McDonald earned ACC Academic Honor Roll honors in 2007 and 2008 as well as a spot on the All-ACC Academic Softball team those two years.
An active member of 925 Athletic Ministries, is currently finishing a degree in Family and Child Science along with a minor in Special Education.
McDonald currently resides in Tallahassee with her spiritual family, Adrian and Wendy.
