The Seminoles top power hitter…continues to improve in left field and enters the season as the starter…her bat will be relied
upon especially early in the season with so many young players starting.
2001: Junior college transfer started 56 games in left field and two games at DP…the Seminoles top power hitter, she led the
team in homeruns (6), RBIs (38), slugging percentage (.565) and doubles (13)…tied for second with three triples…had the fifth
highest batting average (.313), second most total bases (83), second most sacrifice bunts (13), led the team in sacrifice flies (4)
and was a perfect 1-for-1 in stolen bases…led FSU with ten multiple RBI games and was sixth on the team with 13 multi-hit
games…named to the All-ACC Tournament Team after slugging .583 and recording a double, homerun and seven total
bases…her six game hitting streak was tied for the fourth longest streak of the year…led the team with the most RBIs in a single
game when she went 3 for 3 with two runs scored, two homers and five RBI against Georgia State (Apr. 1)…also had a four
RBI game in the season opener against Georgia Southern…had her best stretch in FSU’s most important games as she went
6-for-11 with two runs, nine RBIs and two home runs against SASA and ACC foes East Carolina and Virginia…tied for the team
lead in RBIs (10) and doubles (3) and led the team in homers (2) in SASA play…tied for the third best slugging percentage in
SASA games (.577)…the only Seminole starter with a perfect fielding percentage last season…had 27 putouts and one assist
in 28 chances.
JUNIOR COLLEGE: Garnered first team all-state honors…was first team all conference MVP…first team All-American for
NFCA…first team All-American for NJCAA…led the nation in home runs in 1999 with 27…named Florida Player of the
Year…was a member of Who's Who Among American Junior College students.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played on 32-0 state championship volleyball
