One of FSU’s top reserves off of the bench in 2001, Cox will once again fulfill a pinch-running role in 2002…will be All-American Brandi Stuart’s main back-up at second and can also play in the outfield if needed.

2001: Appeared in the second most games of any freshman (45) and led the team in appearances as a sub…pinch ran in 39 games and scored 16 runs…her 18 runs ranked eighth on the team…stole three bases in three attempts last season…record-ed one sacrifice in just two plate appearances…scored two runs in the Seminoles doubleheader sweep over conference rival Virginia…recorded two putouts in two chances for a perfect fielding percentage.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a member of 1998 State championship team in Georgia…member of all-state second team…member of East Cobb state championship team…named best defensive player in tenth through twelfth grades…named student athlete of the week several times.

PERSONAL: Major is education…was born on March 12, 1982…her father is Bobby Cox, the manager of the Atlanta Braves.
