Spectacular pitching throughout the UCLA Regionals this weekend just wasn't enough for the 20th-ranked Florida State University softball team as it fell once again to San Diego State by a 1-0 score to end a fulfilling 2012 season.

Despite not allowing an earned run in a seven-inning gem, redshirt junior pitcher Monica Perry absorbed a tough loss as the 20th-ranked Florida State University softball team fell to San Diego State, 1-0, in the opening game of the NCAA Regionals hosted by UCLA on Friday evening.

Two Seminoles Earn All-Region Honors

Softball - Senior right fielder Shayla Jackson and junior second baseman Tiffani Brown were both named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Southeast Region Second Team, announced today by the softball organization.
