TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Following a second straight trip to the College Cup, the Florida State Women's Soccer team finished the 2012 season ranked No. 4 in the final NSCAA/Continental Tire college rankings.

The Seminoles finished the 2012 campaign with 20 wins to tie a school record, while capturing the Atlantic Coast Conference regular season title for the second time in program history with an 8-2 mark.

With six College Cup appearances since 2003 (2003, 2005-07, 2011-12), FSU is one of only three programs in the nation, and the only school in the ACC, to play in soccer's version of the `Final Four' that many times over the last 10 seasons.

Since 2000, the Seminoles have made 13 straight NCAA Tournament appearances, played in 11 `Sweet 16's' and advanced to the quarterfinal round eight years in a row - the longest active streak in the nation.

Florida State's top four ranking is the program's fifth in the last eight years. In fact since head coach Mark Krikorian arrived on campus in 2005, the Seminoles are the only school in the country that has finished ranked in the top 10 of the final NSCAA poll over the last eight years. A mark that shows a model of consistency that Krikorian continues to provide in Tallahassee furthering proving to the nation that FSU soccer will be national title contender on an annual basis.
