TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Throughout the fall, Seminoles.com will take a closer look at this year's class of newcomers. The fourth 'Getting To Know' segment features freshman defender Kacy Scarpa from George Jenkins High School in Lakeland, Fla.

Florida State welcomes 12 new players in 2012 including 11 freshmen and one transfer. Two student-athletes joined the Seminoles a semester early enrolling during the spring 2012 semester, while this year's class also includes four international players.

I do not have one. They are really expensive! If I did get one, it would have to be a fish

Making it to states three out of four times in high school.

I don't have one

My family and friends

Why did you choose Florida State?
Every time I visited I felt more and more comfortable. It was the perfect fit for me - the soccer team, the coaching staff - everything was awesome.
