TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State women's soccer team put the finishing touches on its spring exhibition schedule on Saturday, April 13 with a 3-1 victory over FIU inside the Seminole Soccer Complex.
Brynjarsdottir put Florida State on the board first finishing a cross from Jamia Fields to give the Seminoles an early 1-0 lead.
The FSU lead moved to 2-0 when Pickett found the back of the net from long range blasting a shot inside the far post from about 23 yards out.
McClung and Kirsten Crowley teamed up for the third goal of the night when McClung took a cross from Crowley and lofted a shot over the head of the Panther keeper to give the Seminoles a 3-0 advantage.
In the third 30-minute segment, FIU cut into the Florida State lead with a goal but it was as far as the Panthers would get as the Seminoles wrapped up the match with a two-goal victory.
