TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State women's soccer team opened its spring exhibition schedule on Sunday, February 24 with a scoreless tie against visiting USF inside the Seminole Soccer Complex.

FSU's best scoring chance in the first half came in the 36th minute when Kirsten Crowley sent a cross from the right side of the pitch to Jamia Fields, who headed the pass off the cross bar.

In the 49th minute, Kristin Grubka was on the receiving end of a free kick served into the box from the left side by Isabella Schmid. Grubka took the pass and whistled one wide of the right post as the match remained scoreless.

The Seminoles tried to manage the game's first goal in the 81st minute when Michaela Hahn took a cross from Kahlia Hogg and one-timed the ball on frame, but the USF keeper was there for the save to keep the game deadlocked at 0-0.

Florida State will face the University of Miami in its next spring match.
