Melissa Terry

Strength and Conditioning coach Melissa Terry enters her second season at Florida State and second with the soccer program joining the Seminole family in December of 2009. Along with the design and implementation of the soccer strength and conditioning program, Terry also serves as the strength and conditioning coach for the men's and women's swimming and diving team.

A native of Chickasha, Okla., Terry graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in the spring of 2007 with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Health Studies. While attending the University of Central Oklahoma, Terry was a member of the varsity soccer team, achieving numerous athletic honors including being named senior team captain, NCAA/adidas All-American, Lone Star Conference Defensive Player of the Year and Lone Star Conference Student Athlete of the Year. During her junior year, Terry worked as an intern with the strength and conditioning staff at UCO.

Terry attended graduate school at Baylor University beginning in January of 2008 working in the weight room assisting with eight varsity sports (soccer, football, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's golf, softball and equestrian). She graduated from Baylor in the spring of 2009 with a master's of science degree in Exercise Physiology with an emphasis in Strength and Conditioning.

Following graduation in 2009, Terry interned in the University of Oklahoma athletics department. While at OU, Terry worked with six different sports assisting with women's basketball, baseball, wrestling and women's soccer. She was also solely responsible for the design and implementation of the men's gymnastics and women's golf strength and conditioning programs.

Terry is both CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association) and USA Weightlifting certified.
