2002: A key contributor in the midfield and defense, George has been a welcome addition after taking a year off…has made one start this season, versus LSU and has played in 18 of the Tribe’s 22 matches…only taken two shots this season but one resulted in the first goal of her FSU career. Florida State broke on top of Missouri in the 28th minute when it capitalized on the squad’s first chance of the evening. Leah Gallegos dribbled down the right sideline with two Tiger defenders on her the whole way. About two yards from the endline on the right side of the goal, she created space and give herself enough room to send an arching cross to the backpost. George was sitting right there and buried the header to put FSU up 1-0.

IN THE NCAA’S: Has been a member of two of FSU’s three NCAA Tournament squads…has yet to see her first action in the NCAA’s at this point.

IN THE ACC: Played in six of Florida State’s seven conference games…has appeared in 12 of Florida State’s 14 conference games in her two year’s on the team and made her only start in 2000 versus Clemson.

2001: Returns to FSU soccer after a one year break from the game…spent the fall of 2001 with FSU’s Air Force ROTC.

2000: Started three matches and made 18 appearances…a key member of a Florida State defense that had the most successful season in the history of the program… played an important role in the Seminoles turnaround…a good one-on-one defender whose speed and quickness allow her to come out of the back well…George is a versatile player who can play in the back or midfield and will continue to develop with daily training and ACC competition.

HIGH SCHOOL: Named all-district as a junior and senior...started on the varsity squad since her freshman year…member of the National Honor Society with a 3.8 GPA...academic honor roll for three years...Latin Honor Society.

ODP EXPERIENCE: Member of Virginia’s state ODP team.

CLUB: Member of the Braddock Road Legend who were the champions of the Raleigh Shootout and WAGS Invitational national tournaments…won the 2001 Florida State Championship with Team Boca…played with the Sonoran Thunder of the Women’s Professional Soccer League in the summer of 2002.

ACADEMIC: Two-time member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
