	Class: Freshman Hometown: New City, NY High School: Clarkstown South Height: 5-4 Position: Defender

One of the best defenders in the eastern part of the United States this year and was recognized as one of the nation's best U-14 players by the US Soccer Federation. DeGaetani distributes the ball well out of the back and is good in the air. She is tough on the tackle and brings a great mentality to the team.

High School: Captain of New York's state championship team...four year member of the All-State team...All-Region in 1996 and 1999...voted team MVP during her senior season...played on the varsity squad since eighth grade.

Olympic Development Program: Member of the Olympic Development Program for seven years...named to the Region I team in 1996 and 1999.

Club: Played both outside and central defender for the Lady Bengals of Eastern New York.

Personal: Special Olympics volunteer...1998 High School Southern Lights Award recipient for exemplary effort...plans on majoring in athletic training. Born Feburary 7, 1982.
