2002: Continues to play well despite a debilitating foot problem that numbs her feet just a short period into games…has started 16 of the 20 matches she has appeared in…despite her injuries, Corum is having one of her most productive seasons…just one goal shy of equaling her single season high…has already surpassed her point total from the entire 2001 season…broke a 29-game goal-less streak this year and now has three on the season…second on the team with two game-winning goals…fifth on the team in points, sixth in goals, third on the squad in shot percentage and has the fourth-best shot on goal percentage…recorded seven of her eight points in a six game span helping FSU rebound from a 1-0-2 start…currently tied for fifth all-time for career assists.
IN THE NCAA’S: Has appeared in all seven of FSU’s NCAA Tournament games…one of six Seminoles to ever score a goal in an NCAA Tournament match…third-leading scorer in NCAA postseason for FSU…her first goal was a huge one as she netted the game-winner versus Florida in 2000 that sent the Tribe to its first-ever NCAA Tournament…also assisted on FSU’s first goal in the Round of 32 match-up with the Gators…although she hasn’t record a point in the 2002 tournament yet, she played a key role in FSU’s win over Ole Miss…her move in the Rebel penalty box forced the Mississippi defense to take her down leading to the game-winning penalty kick.
IN THE ACC: Appeared in six conference matches and has started five…has been limited as the season has worn on and her injuries became more aggravated…has started 19 ACC games in her career and has appeared in 20 of 21 ACC matches.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS: Continues to torment teams from Florida. After scoring the game-winner versus Miami and USF this season, five of her seven career goals have now come against schools from the state of Florida. Corum has recorded goals against Miami, UCF, USF, FIU and Florida. Her goal against the Gators eliminated UF from the 2000 NCAA Tournament and sent FSU to its first-ever Sweet 16…scored FSU’s only goal versus LSU in the 90th minute…scored goals in back-to-back games for the first time since her freshman year in the match versus Miami. Also recorded her first game-winner since the round of 32 versus UF in 2002. The goal came when Kristin Boyce played a free kick to Amber Tollefson who lofted a perfect ball right to Corum. The wide midfielder freed herself in the middle of the box and 12 yards from goal. Corum took one step to beat the keeper and then slipped the ball in at the near post…two games later, she picked up her first assist of the year versus Charlotte. Helped FSU get its quickest goal of the season at the 4:02 mark. Cindy Schofield split the Charlotte defense with a ball down the right side to Corum. The sophomore got endline and sent a perfect cross through the 49er box to Camie Bybee waiting at the back post. The Oklahoman took one touch and went the other way with the shot beating the keeper…two games later she got her third goal of the season. Leah Gallegos beat a defender with a spin move and sent a ball into Corum standing just outside of the six-yard box on the right side. She collected the pass and fired a high shot past the diving keeper.
2001: One of Florida State’s top freshmen in 2000, Corum followed up with another solid campaign as a sophomore…recorded the third-most assists in a single season in FSU history with seven, recorded seven points, took seven shots and had four shots on goal…her seven assists tied her for third on the squad…was also in the top five for shot on goal percentage at .571…second on the team with four assists versus ACC opponents and had the third-most assists in conference games…Corum recorded all seven of her assists in eight important matches down the stretch… posted her first point of the 2001 season against Wake Forest when she assisted on FSU’s first goal of the match which evened the game less than three minutes after the Deacons took a 1-0 lead…closed the season and started ACC Cham-pionship play with assists in three straight games and posted back-to-back multi-assist games in the final match of the regular season and FSU’s opening game in the 2001 ACC Championships…versus Maryland in the regular season home finale, Corum assured the Seminoles of their best-ever ACC record (4-3-0) and highest finish (third place) on top of a perfect 8-0 mark at home as she picked up a game-winning assist on Amber Tollefson’s goal in the 22nd minute…played one of her best matches in a win over Jacksonville and also posted her first multi-point game of the season recording two assists in a 5-1 win that locked up the FSU record for the most wins in the regular season in program history…went on to post her second multi-assist game of the year in the Seminoles next game against No. 21 Maryland in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals. In one of FSU’s most convincing performances of the season, Corum assisted on the first goal of the game just over three minutes in setting the tone for FSU’s seven-goal barrage. Corum then assisted on the record-setting seventh goal of the game when the Vero Beach, Fla. native found Cindy Schofield on the right side of the box as she fired a shot to the back post, putting the finishing touches on the 7-2 win.
2000: Appeared in 24 games and was one of only two freshmen to appear in every game for the Seminoles…scored four goals, recorded five assists and finished her freshman season with 13 points…Corum had a strong season for the Seminoles finishing sixth in total points, sixth in goals scored, tied for third in game-winning goals (1), second in assists, first in shot percentage (.250) and second in shot on goal percentage (.750)…second amongst freshmen in points, goals, assists and game-winning goals…recorded a season high three points in FSU’s NCAA Tournament win over the Gators. Her game-winning goal in the 48 th minute at Florida sent the Seminoles to their first-ever Sweet 16…recorded her first collegiate goal in Missouri against the Ohio State Buckeyes…recorded goals in back-to-back games during the Seminole Soccer Tournament against UCF and Florida International…assisted on goals against Florida, Miami, Oregon, Jacksonville and Wake Forest…her assist against the Beavers was the first game-winning assist of her collegiate career...assisted on the Seminoles first goal against UF in the NCAA second round just 4:55 into the game.
HIGH SCHOOL: Scored 141 goals during her career at Vero Beach High...added 68 assists...all-conference for three years...led the district in scoring for three straight years...FACA Senior All-Star team...a varsity starter since her freshman year…honor roll for four years...graduated with honors...Florida Gold Seal recipient.
ODP EXPERIENCE: Participated with the Olympic Development Program for four years... four-time member of the Region III team...traveled to England, Ireland, France, Monaco and Italy with ODP.
CLUB: Member of Team Boca...won the state title in 1999.
