For the fifth time in school history, Florida State is headed to the ACC Championship final. The third-ranked Seminoles earned the right to play for the conference title after recording a 2-0 victory over Virginia Tech.

Top seeded Florida State (15-3-1) will faced fourth-seeded Virginia Tech (14-6-0) in the first semifinal of the 22nd ACC Women's Soccer Championship on Friday, November 6 at 5:00 p.m. inside WakeMed Park in Cary, N.C.

FSU Blanks Duke 2-0

Third-ranked Florida State (15-3-1) registered a pair of second half goals including the game-winner from Tiffany McCarty in the 71st minute as the Seminoles went on to post a 2-0 victory over Duke (8-8-4) in the opening game of the ACC Women's Soccer Championship.

The second half of the 2009 soccer season gets underway in Cary, N.C. on Wednesday, as the 22nd ACC Women's Soccer Championship begins with Florida State squaring off against Duke.
