"The opportunity to host an NCAA Regional Championship is a huge honor for our school and our program," said head coach Amy Bond. "We are thankful to the administration at Florida State along with Beth Murphy and her staff at SouthWood for making this commitment to our program. We are also thankful to the NCAA for thinking so highly of the golf community in this area and in the southeastern United States to bring one of their premier events to Tallahassee."

SouthWood was named one of the Top 35 New Courses in America by Golf Magazine and among America's Best New Courses by Golf Digest. SouthWood was also named one of the Top 50 Courses for women by Women in Golf Magazine and voted Tallahassee's Best Golf Course by Tallahassee Magazine. Oklahoma State University and Karsten Creek Golf Club will host the NCAA Central Regional Championship and the University Washington will host the West Regional Championship at Tumble Creek at Suncadia Resort.
