TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State women's golf team closes out its fall 2007 schedule as it travels to play at the fourth University of Alabama/Ann Rhoads Intercollegiate at the NorthRiver Golf Club in Tuscaloosa, Ala., Oct. 26-28. The Seminoles won the championship of the inaugural Ann Rhoads Intercollegiate in 2003 and are playing in the event for the second time in 2007. The event includes 10 of the top 40 ranked teams in the nation according to GolfStat's head-to-head rankings. Following their play in the Ann Rhoads Intercollegiate, the Seminoles will be on the course to begin the spring 2008 season at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in February.

THE 2007 UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA/ANN RHOADS INTERCOLLEGIATE FIELD
No. 37 Florida State is joined by No. 5 Florida, No. 6 Arkansas, No. 7 Auburn, No. 15 Alabama, No. 19 Notre Dame, No. 25 Louisiana State, No. 33 Texas, No. 35 South Carolina, No. 38 Louisville, Furman, Kansas, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Northwestern, Samford and UCF in the fourth University of Alabama/Ann Rhoads Intercollegiate. The 54-hole event will played on the NorthRiver Golf Club and Par 71, 5,963 yard course was designed by Gary Player and Robert E. Cupp and opened in 1978.

SEMINOLES WIN TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP AT 2003 ANN RHOADS
Florida State, led by current assistant coach Katie Quinney and former Seminole standout Alison Curdt who finished in third and fourth place in the individual standings, rallied from four strokes behind entering the final round to claim the championship of the 2003 University of Alabama / Ann Rhoads Intercollegiate at the Capstone Club of Alabama. Quinney, then a senior, finished in third place in the individual standings of the rain shortened event with a 36-hole total of 149. She carded a 75 in the second round after finishing with a 74 in the first round. Quinney's individual finish was the second time during her collegiate career she had finished third and the sixth time she had earned a top-10 finish.

WRIGHT PLAYING THE BEST GOLF OF HER CAREER
Senior Whitney Wright (Rockingham, N.C.) begins play in the Ann Rhoads Intercollegiate with a career-low 74.83 stroke average. She is averaging nearly five full strokes below her career-average of 79.43 which she earned in the first 26 tournaments and 77 rounds of her career. Wright has already established career-best marks for low round (68 in the first round of the Cougar Classic) and low tournament score (224 at the Cougar Classic) during the first two events of the fall 2007 season. She has earned four scores of 75 or below in the first six rounds of the season; she earned 11 scores of 75 or below during the first three years of her career.

BRUMMETT CUTTING DOWN HER SCORES
Senior Whitney Brummett (Eureka, Mo.) is enjoying her best season since the fall of her freshman season. She is averaging near career-low 75.67 strokes in six rounds during the first two events of the season. Brummett's career-low single-season score of 75.50 came in 12 rounds during four events during her first semester as a freshman. She carded a season-low 71 in the first round of the Cougar Classic and is tied for the team lead with two rounds scored at par or better.

AGNEW WORKS HER WAY INTO THE SEMINOLES' STARTING LINEUP
Sophomore Lacey Agnew (Jonesboro, Ga.) will play in the Seminoles' starting lineup for the third consecutive event at the Ann Rhoads Intercollegiate after playing in a total of three events during her freshman season. She carded her season-low of 74 in the second round of the Lady Tar Heel Invitational earlier this month.
