TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State University women's golf team, which is ranked No. 19 in both of this weeks polls by GolfWeek Magazine and GolfStat, will look to extend its white-hot start to the fall 2009 season as it travels to play at the second annual Eat A Peach Collegiate at the Idle Hour Golf Club in Macon, Ga., Oct. 4-5. The tournament is named after The Allman Brothers most acclaimed album, Eat A Peach. The Seminoles will close out their fall season with their participation in the Eat A Peach Collegiate and at the Lady Tar Heel Invitational next week.

THE EAT A PEACH COLLEGIATE FIELD
No. 19 Florida State is joined by No. 8 Georgia, Augusta State, UCF, Coastal Carolina, Furman, Georgia State, High Point, James Madison, Kennesaw State, Miami and the host school, Mercer. The two-day, 36-hole event will be played at the Idle Hour Country Club, which features a 6,303 yard, par 72 layout. Augusta State is the defending champion.

SEMINOLES WIN TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP AT KENTUCKY INVITATIONAL
Florida State won its first tournament of the 2009-10 season as it claimed the championship at the University of Kentucky / Bettie Lou Evans Fall Invitational. The Seminoles led the event wire-to-wire in gaining their first team victory since winning the spring 2008 LSU Invitational. The win was the 22nd of her Florida State coaching career for head coach Debbie Dillman.

SILVA EARNS FIRST CAREER WIN AT KENTUCKY INVITATIONAL
Seminole junior Macarena Silva (Santiago, Chile) won the first individual title of her collegiate career as tied for first place in the individual standings at the University of Kentucky Invitational. Silva took the lead in the first round and remained in first during the second round to share medalist honors. Silva's win was the first by a Seminole golfer since Caroline Westrup finished in first place at the fall 2008 Cougar Classic.

AGNEW ENJOYS HOT START TO SENIOR SEASON
Senior Lacey Agnew (Jonesboro, Ga.) finished in second place at the Cougar Classic and in fifth place at the University of Kentucky Invitational. She enters the Eat A Peach Collegiate with a team-leading average of 71.00 strokes per round. She is averaging nearly nine strokes fewer per round this season (71.00) than she did in the first three years (17 tournaments and 49 rounds) of her career at Florida State. She has earned twice as many top 10 finishes in the first two rounds of the fall season as she did in the first three years of her career. Entering the fall season, the best finish if her career came as a sixth place finish at the Seminole hosted Chrysler Challenge in Destin, Fla., during the spring of 2007.

AGNEW PLAYING IN HOME STATE
Senior Lacey Agnew will play in her home state of Georgia, just over on hour from her hometown of Jonesboro, Ga., as the Seminoles play in the Eat A Peach Collegiate.
