TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (seminoles.com) - Florida State placed seven members of its women's golf team on the 2012-13 ACC Academic Honor Roll marking the 10th time in the Seminoles' 20-year history in the league that it has placed at least seven players on the conference-wide recognition of its student-athletes. The Seminoles have placed at least seven women's golfers on the ACC Academic Honor Roll in two of the last three years and four of the last eight seasons. A program record 11 players were named to the honor roll during the 2004-05 season.

Three Seminole seniors -- Malin Jansson, Jessica Negron and Mary Beth Ramsay - a trio of sophomores - Laure Castelain, Carlton Kuhlo and Alex Milan - and one freshman - Olivia Hullert -- all excelled academically in helping lead Florida State to its school record eighth-consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance this past spring. Castelain, Jansson and Kuhlo all earned the honor for the second consecutive season.

Jansson (psychology major with a minor in child development), Negron (social science) and Ramsay (marketing) all earned their bachelor's degrees from Florida State during the spring of 2013.

The ACC Academic Honor Roll is comprised of student-athletes who participated in a varsity-level sport and registered a grade point average of 3.00 or better for the full academic year (2012-13).

Earlier this spring Castelain, Kuhlo and Hullert were named to the ACC Academic Women's Golf Team. The criteria for selection to the Academic Women's Golf team requires a 3.3 grade point average.

"All of our players worked hard in the classroom this year," said head coach Amy Bond, who was named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll three times during her career. "Every player on the team strives to do well academically and their attention to their studies paid off again this season. Having seven players named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll is one of the highlights of the season for our team."

In addition to having seven players named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll and three to the All-ACC Women's Golf team, the program was lauded by the NCAA as they finished in the top 10 percent of the APR for the 2012 season with a graduation rate of 100 percent.
