TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (seminoles.com) - The Florida State women's golf team, under third-year head coach Amy Bond, played in its school record eighth consecutive NCAA Championship tournament, finished in fourth place in the ACC Championships, earned eight top 10 finishes in 11 events during the fall and spring seasons, finished in a season-best second place in the team standings at the Florida Challenge and Jessica Negron earned All-ACC honors for the first time in her career during the Fall 2012 and Spring 2013 seasons. The Seminoles earned four top five team finishes during the spring season - second at the Florida Challenge, fourth at the Florida State Match-Up, fourth at the Marsh Landing Invitational and fourth at the ACC Championships - and played in the NCAA West Regional for the first time in school history.

NEGRON NAMED TO ALL-ACC TEAM
Senior Jessica Negron, who will lead the Seminoles into the NCAA West Regional Championship May 9-11 at the Stanford University Golf Course, has been named to the All-ACC Women's Golf team in a vote by the league's nine head coaches and announced by the ACC Office. It marks the first time in her career that she has earned All-ACC honors and is the school-record 13th consecutive season at least one Seminole player has earned All-ACC honors. Negron (Ocala, Fla.) is the No. 6 ranked golfer in the ACC with a career-low 74.11 stroke average and has earned three top-10 finishes this year. She has been Florida State's leading golfer in five of the Seminoles' seven events this spring and finished in a career-best tied for third place at the Florida State Match-Up tournament in February.

NEGRON ONE OF NINE IN SCHOOL HISTORY
With her participation in the 2013 ACC and NCAA Regional Championships, senior All-ACC selection Jessica Negron joined a very elite Seminole club as one of nine Seminoles (Mabel Pascual del Pobil, current Seminole head coach Amy Bond, Sarah Capie, Allison Curdt, Carrie Sordel, Caroline Westrup, Macarena Silva and Hannah Thomson) who all played in four career ACC Championship Tournaments and four career NCAA Regional Championship tournaments.

SEMINOLES FINISH FOURTH AT ACC CHAMPIONSHIPS
Florida State freshman Olivia Hullert finished in a tie for 12th place in the individual standings and the Seminoles women's golf team finished in fourth place in the team standings at the 25th Annual ACC Women's Golf Championships at Sedgefield Country Club. It marked the fifth time in the last seven seasons the Seminoles have finished in the top four of the team standings in the toughest conference in women's collegiate golf. In finishing in fourth place in the ACC Championships, Florida State outpaced two teams ahead of it in the national rankings: No. 9 North Carolina and No. 39 Wake Forest.

SEMINOLES PLAY IN SCHOOL RECORD EIGHTH CONSECUTIVE NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP
Senior Jessica Negron finished in ninth place in the individual standings and the Florida State women's golf team finished in 19th place in the team standings as the 2013 NCAA Division I West Regional Championships on the Stanford University Golf Course. Negron shot a 1 over par score of 72 in the final round and missed qualifying for the NCAA Championship finals by one stroke. It marked the eighth consecutive NCAA Championships appearance for the Florida State women's golf program. Florida State finished with a 295 team score in the third round - a scored that was tied for the fourth best team score of the final round. The Seminoles were led in the final round by sophomore Laure Castelain who carded an even par 71. In addition to Castelain's 71 and Negron's 72, the Seminoles counted scores of 75 by Carlton Kuhlo and 77 by Olivia Hullert.

A FIRST FOR FLORIDA STATE
Florida State's appearance in the 2013 NCAA West Regional Championship marked the first time in school history the Seminoles had played in the West Regional Championship. The Seminoles have played in the NCAA East Regional 13 times, the NCAA Central Regional Championship four times and the NCAA West Regional once.

BOND NOW THREE FOR THREE
Florida State head coach Amy Bond has now guided each of her first three teams to the NCAA Tournament. Including her four years as a Seminole player (1996-99) and her five years as a Seminole assistant coach (2002-06), Bond has participated in 10 of 12 NCAA Regional Championships while wearing the Garnet and Gold.

ONLY THREE PLAYED IN ALL 11 EVENTS
Senior Jessica Negron, sophomore Laure Castelain and freshman Olivia Hullert are the only three Seminoles that played in each of Florida State's first 11 events of the 2013 spring and fall seasons.
