Freshman Olivia Hullert has quickly developed into one of the Seminoles' top golfers in just a short span of time. She has many talents including cooking, singing and playing tennis - and get this - she creamed of being a hairdresser when she was young. Hullert sat down with seminoles.com as she prepared for Florida State's tournament this weekend in North Carolina.
What is your favorite song on your IPod right now?
"My favorite song on the Ipod right now... Ah, there are so many good! I like National Anthem by Lana del Rey."
Rate yourself 1-10 on how weird you are.
"I'd say I'm a solid 7 on weirdness."
Do you have any embarrassing talents or bad habits?
"I make too many plans and always have to end up cancelling the majority of them because there is just not enough time. I guess that counts as a bad habit."
What was the best part of your lunch as a child?
"I'm from Norway and all I ever had for lunch were sandwiches -- and vegetables - so I'll go for the sandwiches."
Are you clean or messy?
"I'd really (and I mean really) like to see myself as a clean person with a perfectly organized life, but unfortunately that is not the truth. My life (my room) is a mess."
What was your favorite movie as a child?
"I loved In Her Shoes, must have watched that movie 30 times!"
If you could be an animal, what would it be?
"I would like to be the dog that we have home in Norway. She seems to have a lovely life."
What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
"Haha, right now I'm really into chick peas."
What is your favorite holiday?
"My favorite holiday is definitely Christmas! It's something special to come home to that celebration! Everything is warm (even though it's snowing outside)."
If you could be anyone in the world for a day, who would you be?
"I'd be Suzann Pettersen who is a professional golfer from Norway. I would absolutely love to know what goes on inside her head! "
Would you rather watch a scary movie or a comedy?
"I would rather watch a comedy"
What was your dream-job as a child?
"I think I really wanted to be a vet for a while. And a hairdresser. And work with dolphins."
If you had to change your name, what would it be?
"If I had to change my name? I would change my last name to the last name of the man that I (hopefully) marry."
If you had to live somewhere else where would it be?
"I have always wanted to live in England. But I think I want to save that for when I retire. I'd love to live in Italy! Or France..."
Are you superstitious?
"No, I'm not superstitious, but I do believe that if you do good things, you will get positive energy back. That might just be because people want to be nice back though... And sometimes I get into the habit of thinking that the golf course will be nice to me if I am nice to the course (like repairing pitch marks. I'm telling you, I look like a green-keeper once in a while!)"
If you had a time machine, where would you go?
"Maybe back to the early 19th century, I'd like to live as they did in Jane Austen's books."
Do you have a favorite sport other than golf?
"Right now I'm addicted to tennis. I do not know how to play, but I just learned how to count the scores. I think its super exciting! And before that, it was soccer. That fascination only lasted a couple of weeks though..."
What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?
"An espresso machine!!! ...And a barista"
What would I find in your fridge right now?
"You'd find almond flour, flax meal, plain Greek yogurt, eggs, spinach, carrots, peanut butter, almond butter, cottage cheese, soy milk, mozzarella, feta cheese, hot sauce and ketchup. Maybe I should change that weirdness grade to an 8..?"
What has been your most bizarre life experience?
"Oh my gosh, that's tough... I had to change my passport from Swedish to Norwegian in 2011, to be able to represent Norway in the European team championship. The thing was that I had to be 18 years old to do so, and the tournament was only 3 weeks after my birthday. It is not normally hope for a situation like that, but somehow the national TV got into the situation - the cameras really helped as far as the waiting time went, and I did get my passport!"
Never have I ever...
"Been to Australia. It feels like I'm missing out. But I am so afraid of all the dangerous animals."
The next time you cook a meal for someone, what are you going you make?
"I really want to make black bean brownies. None of my friends are encouraging me to try, but I am still waiting for the right time to surprise them."
23. Who is you current celebrity crush?
"I had a huge crush on Jude Law over Christmas break, but I recently found out that his hair looked significantly better back in 1998..."
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
"In 10 years its time for me, I want to be the no 1 player in the world."
Do you have any hidden talents?
"I did consider myself a decent singer back in the days. But I think I might be over that stage of my life now."
