Kentucky Wins Lady Seminole Invitational, FSU Finishes Tied for Third

TALLAHASSEE, FL--The University of Kentucky fired a low team total of 295 in today's round to capture the Lady Seminole Invitational team title at the Seminole Golf Course. The Wildcats finished the tournament with a three-day total of 900, nine strokes ahead of Mississippi State University.

Robyn Rinaldo of the University of Mississippi led from start to finish to claim the individual title with a three-round score of 220. Rinaldo held off Kentucky's Heather Kraus, who finished one stroke back after posting a 72 in today's round. Megan Breen of Mississippi finished three strokes off the pace.

Florida State shot the second best team total of the day, finishing tied for third with the University of Central Florida. The Lady Seminoles, posting a team total of 300 today, were led by Amy Spooner. Spooner, a junior from Margate, FL, shot an even-par round of 73 today to finish tied for 35th. The top finisher for the Lady Seminoles were Erika Iding and Sarah Capie, both finishing tied for 12th with three-day totals of 228. Amy Bond fired a final round 75 to finish tied for 20th, while Aguri Okura ended the tournament tied for 24th.
