MACON, Ga. - Led by eighth place individual finishes by senior Lacey Agnew and junior Macarena Silva the No. 19 ranked Florida State University women's golf team finished in a tie for second place at the Eat A Peach Collegiate at the Idle Hour Country Club. The finish was the third consecutive top two team finish for the Seminoles who won the University of Kentucky Invitational and finished in second place at the Cougar Classic to open the fall season. With Agnew and Silva earning top-10 finishes, the Seminoles were one of only three teams in the event which finished with two players in the top 10 of the individual standings.

No. 9 Georgia, the highest ranking team in the event according to the most recent GolfWeek/Sagarin Power Rankings, won the event with a one stroke victory over the Seminoles. The Bulldogs' Marta Silva Zamora won the individual championship as she carded consecutive scores of 70 to finish the 36-hole event with a four-under par total of 140.

Agnew (Jonesboro, Ga.) earned her third consecutive top-10 individual finish as she finished with a six-over par score of 150. She carded a 71 in the first round to mark the fourth time in seven rounds that she had played under par golf in three tournaments this season. Agnew finished in second place at the Cougar Classic, in fifth place at the Kentucky Invitational and in a tie for eighth in the Eat A Peach tournament. It marks the first time she has finished in the top 10 in three consecutive events during her entire career.

Silva (Santiago, Chile) carded scores of 73 and 77 to finish with her total of 150. Her tied for eighth place finish also marked the third consecutive time she finished in the top 10 of a tournament this fall. Silva won her first career individual championship at the Kentucky Invitational, finished in a tie for eighth at the Eat A Peach and completed the season-opening Cougar Classic in a tie for 10th place. It, too, marks the first time she has finished in the top 10 in the individual standings during her Florida State career.

Florida State was led on the final day by freshman Mary Beth Ramsay (Orlando, Fla.) who carded a four-over par score of 76 in the second round. Her score of 76 was her best since carding as career-best 73 in the second round of the season opening Cougar Classic. Ramsay finished in a career-best tie for 21st place in the individual standings to earn the first top 25 finish of her career. She has improved her finishes in both of her last two events after finishing in a tied for 51st place at the Cougar Classic as she finished in a tie for 46th place at the Kentucky Invitational and in a tie for 21st at the Eat A Peach Collegiate.

Freshman Jessica Negron (Ocala, Fla.) finished in a tie for 17th place to earn her third consecutive top 20 individual finish. He finished in a tie for 16th place at both the Cougar Classic and in a tie for 16th place at the Kentucky Invitational. Sophomore Hannah Thomson (Perth, Australia) earned her third consecutive top-25 finish as she placed in a tie for 21st.

Florida State closes out its fall season as it plays at the Lady Tar Heel Invitational in Chapel Hill, N.C., Oct. 9-11.
