Women's Golf in Third Place at ACC Championships

GREENSBORO, NC--The Florida State women's golf team is in third place after two rounds of the ACC Championships at the Grandover Golf Course in Greensboro, NC. The Lady Seminole team score of 628 is six strokes better than the University of North Carolina.

Junior Amy Bond leads the Tribe, standing alone in sixth place after rounds of 76 and 78. Sarah Capie fired the low round of the day for the Lady Seminoles with a 77 on Saturday. Capie is tied for 7th with a two-round total of 156. Erika Iding is tied for 13th with a two-day total of 158. Freshman Louise Wright carded a 78 to stand alone is 16th place with one-round to go. Amy Spooner rounded out the scoring with an 82 in the second round. Spooner is tied for 17th.

Duke University is in the lead with a seven stroke advantage over Wake Forest University. Marta Prieto of Wake Forest is three strokes ahead of two golfers for the individual lead.

The final round of the ACC Championships will take place Sunday morning.
