MIAMI LAKES, Fla. - Florida State University senior Katie Quinney finished in a tie for fourth place in the individual standings and the Seminole women's golf team finished in fourth place in the team standings at the Ryder/Florida Women's Collegiate Golf Championship at Don Shula's Golf Club and Resort. For Quinney, it marked the second consecutive top five individual finish and the third during her Seminole career.

Quinney (Atlantic Beach, Fla.) carded an even-par 72 in the third round and finished with a 228 total for the 54-hole event. Her third round score of 72 was her best of the tournament, the second best among the 68 golfers in the event and helped her improve her individual placement from 12th after two rounds into a tie four fourth after three rounds. Quinney finished third at last week's University of Georgia Tournament and has carded scores of even par or better in four of her last six rounds.

Sophomore Caroline Larsson (Danderyd, Sweden) also played her best round of the tournament as she finished with a two-over par 74 in the final round and finished in seventh place in the individual standings. Her seventh place finish marked her second career top-10 individual finish - she finished in fourth place at this event in 2003.

Senior Alison Curdt (St. Louis, Mo) finished in a tie for 11th place with a 233 total for the three-round event. It marked her third top-15 finish of the 2003-04 season and the fifth of her career. Curdt has competed in 39 consecutive events for the Seminoles - each tournament for Florida State since her arrival as a freshman for the 2000-01 season.

Freshman Jaclyn Burch (Wildwood, Mo.) finished with a flurry as she tied her career-low with a 74 in Sunday's third round. She finished in a tie for 21st place with a 236 total for the three round event - the second best finish of her career and the best three-round tournament score of her career. Junior Tyler Johnson (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) also played well for the Seminoles in her second consecutive event as a member of the Seminoles' starting lineup.

Rollins College sophomore Charlotte Campbell fired a final round 71 to win the event as she led her team to the championship for the first time since 1973. Campbell won the individual title by one stroke over Florida Atlantic's Natalia Navaro who shot 73 on Sunday to finish with a three-day score of 224. Miami's Camilla Hilland finished third (79-71-76-226).
