TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) - The Florida State women's basketball team's 2012-13 schedule will feature all nine Atlantic Coast Conference home games being broadcast live on an ESPN Network or a regional sports affiliate.

The ACC announced the upcoming season's slate on Thursday. In addition to the first-ever 18-game conference slate, the upcoming schedule includes non-conference home games versus Florida (Nov. 15) and Iowa (Nov. 28) as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, and a trip to Puerto Rico for the San Juan Shootout (Nov. 23-24).

Overall, Florida State will have at least 16 games air live on either an ESPN Network or as part of the ACC's RSN package.

"We are excited to announce that every one of our ACC home games will be broadcast live for the first time in school history," head coach Sue Semrau said. "By moving to 18 conference games, the ACC will be able to showcase the best women's basketball league in the country even more."

Of the Seminoles' 30 regular season games, 18 will be against teams that competed in the postseason (NCAA Tournament or WNIT) a year ago, including the season-opener versus Samford (Nov. 11) and other early-season matchups with the Gators, Hawkeyes, Stetson (Nov. 18), Vanderbilt in San Juan (Nov. 24), Charlotte (Dec. 2) and Nebraska (Dec. 8).

FSU also faces Eastern Kentucky (Nov. 23), Grambling State (Dec. 15), Mercer (Dec. 19) and UNCG (Dec. 22) before beginning the ACC schedule.

"We have another challenging non-conference schedule this season that will prepare us for the ACC," added Semrau. "We host Florida and Iowa, as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, and are also excited to travel to UNCG in December for a game at the Greensboro Coliseum where the ACC Tournament will be held."

The ACC slate extended from 16 to 18 games in preparation for the addition of two more teams - Pittsburgh and Syracuse - expanding the conference to 14 teams next year.

The Noles open the ACC season on Dec. 30 against Boston College in Tallahassee and will meet the Eagles again on Jan. 17 in Chestnut Hill, Mass. Florida State will have home-and-home meetings with Georgia Tech, Maryland, Miami, NC State, Virginia Tech and North Carolina. The Seminoles will welcome Wake Forest and Clemson, while visiting Duke and Virginia.

Duke, Georgia Tech, Miami and Maryland all made the NCAA Tournament for the ACC in 2012, while NC State, Virginia and Wake Forest competed in the WNIT.
