TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida State women's basketball team will suit up a school-record three McDonald's All-Americans next season after signee and Dwyer High School (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) star Kai James was named to the East Team for the 2013 McDonald's High School All-American Game on Thursday afternoon.

James will join current Seminoles, Natasha Howard and Morgan Jones, in the elite McDonald's All-American club.

The game will be played at the United Center in Chicago on April 3 and air live at 7 p.m. on ESPNU.

ESPNU announced the 12-member East and West teams, which comprise of the consensus 24 best high school basketball seniors in the country, live at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Howard, a junior All-ACC forward for FSU, was named co-MVP of the 2010 McDonald's All-American Game, while Jones, a sophomore who is sitting out this season per NCAA transfer rules, played in the 2011 all-star contest.

James is averaging a double-double (10.3 points and 11.3 rebounds per game) this season for Dwyer and had a 29-point, 25-rebound effort on Dec. 28 against Dreher (S.C.) High School.

She is a consensus Top-25-ranked recruit and the No. 3 center in the 2013 signing class according to ESPN HoopGurlz. James won a gold medal with Team USA at the 2012 World U17 Championship in Amsterdam in the summer and was a Florida Association of Basketball Coaches Class 8A All-State selection in 2011-12.

James joins Gabrielle Bevillard (Bishop, Ga.), Brittany Brown (Fort Walton Beach, Fla.) and Ivey Slaughter (Macon, Ga.) to make up Florida State's 2013 class, which is ranked No. 7 in the nation by All Star Girls Report, No. 11 by Blue Star Basketball and No. 12 by Collegiate Girls Report.

The No. 19-ranked Seminoles return to action against ACC foe North Carolina in Tallahassee on Sunday at 1 p.m.
