FSU Women's Basketball Team Falls to FloridaLatavia Coleman leads the Seminoles with a double-double.
Jan. 21, 1998 TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The Florida State University Women's Basketball team fell to the University of Florida 69-57 tonight in Tully Gymnasium on the FSU Campus. Florida improves their record to 14-4 as the Seminoles drop to 6-11. The Seminoles led by as much as 13 points and kept the lead the entire first half before Florida came back and tied the score 31-31 at the half. Their last lead came with 17:32 left inthe game. Sophomore Latavia Coleman led the Seminoles with a double-double, scoring 24 points and pulling down 13 rebounds as senior Lysa Moorefield added 12 points and 6 rebounds. Women's basketball competition continues with a home gameon Friday against University of Maryland at 7pm in Tully Gymnasium. |
