Kelly Mathis

Kelly Mathis is in her first year as the director of recruiting operation for the Florida State women's basketball team. A native of Maryville, Tenn., Mathis came to Tallahassee after serving as the assistant women's basketball coach at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va., during the 2010-11 season.

Mathis competed on the Pfeiffer University (Misenheimer, N.C.) women's basketball team from 2005-09. She holds the Pfeiffer record for field goal percentage in a game (90 percent), making 9-of-10 shots against Belmont Abbey on Dec. 1, 2005.

After graduating from Pfeiffer with a degree in sport management, Mathis worked as the business manager for Next Level Training in Knoxville, Tenn., and interned with the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame. She also was an assistant basketball coach for Knoxville Catholic High School, and has worked at numerous basketball camps.
