They may have lost two seniors that earned a school-record 98 wins in their career, but the FSU women's basketball team returns an experienced, play-making core of players that every contender must have.
Freshman Season (2011-12) Redshirted in her first season with the Seminoles.
High School: Led Grovetown High School to the Georgia state playoffs for the first time in school history as a senior...High school team finished with a 25-3 record and a top-three state ranking for much of the season...Averaged 19.8 ppg, 13.0 rpg and 5.3 bpg as a senior...Named to the Columbia County Girls First Team by the Columbia County News-Times ...Captured Georgia Class AAA First Team All-State honors...A consensus top-100 prospect according to the 2011 All-Star Girls Report, ESPN HoopGurlz and Blue Star Basketball rankings...Bounced back her senior season after missing all of her junior year because of an ACL and meniscus tear in her knee...Averaged 14.7 ppg and 7.7 rpg as a sophomore at Harlem High School, before her district was rezoned and she was assigned Grovetown her junior year...A three-time All-Columbia County selection...Set records for scoring in a game at both Grovetown (34 points) and Harlem (33 points)...Played for the Georgia Pistols Elite and Dream Team AAU Squads.
Personal: Sister, Shontale Wells, played at basketball Tennessee Temple University, an NAIA program in Chattanooga, Tenn....Other sister, Nicole Wells, is a junior forward at Wichita State after playing two years at Georgia Perimeter College where she was named All-Region First Team and played in the NJCAA All-Star Game as a freshman in 2010...Had a 3.9 GPA in high school and graduated No. 11 in her class at Grovetown...Was a member of the Beta Club, National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society in high school...Also played volleyball in high school... Born on Sept. 7, 1992.
